A global analysis of axion-like particle interactions using SMEFT fits

A bstract In the presence of axions or axion-like particles (ALPs) that couple to Standard Model via dimension-five interactions, dimension-six SMEFT interactions are generated renormalization-group evolution. As many these contributions experimentally tightly constrained, this “ALP-SMEFT interference” can be used derive indirect bounds on ALP couplings particles. We present a global analysis Wilson coefficients effective Lagrangian based Higgs, top, and low-energy data. The obtained model independent competitive even stronger than direct in GeV TeV ALP-mass range.
